Todd Alan Clem, better known as Bubba the Love Sponge, was born in Warsaw, Indiana, USA on 23 April 1966. He is a controversial radio personality, the host of “Bubba the Love Sponge Show”.

Bubba studied at Indiana State University, where he hosted the school radio station. After graduating from college, he became part of the evening show at the WGRD-FM in Michigan where he was almost immediately fired for making sexual references in his show. At 25 years oof age, he already had a hit morning show called “Bubba the Love Sponge Show” which was syndicated to several places, including Grand Rapids, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Toledo to name a few. He earned multiple awards from this show, such as Billboard Rock Air Personality of the Year (six times) and Radio & Records DJ of the Year (four consecutive times). In 1999, he legally changed his name to Bubba the Love Sponge, which was given to him by a former DJ who he worked with. His show further increased in popularity, becoming syndicated throughout USA, but he then transferred the show to WXTB in Tampa, Florida where he came under fire for slaughtering and barbecuing a boar in 2001. Controversy never left him, however – in 2004, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a Notice of Apparent Liability worth $755,000 against four stations owned by Clear Channel Communications, including WXTB, for committing violations on his show “Bubba the Love Sponge”. The show was deemed to have objectionable segments that included graphic dialogues about sex and drugs, which subsequently led to the shutting down of the show.
After losing his job, he ran for sheriff in Pinellas County, Florida, but lost, getting 30% of the votes. In 2006, Howard Stern reached out and hired him to host under Sirius Satellite Radio. Two years later, Bubba Radio Network successfully returned in Tampa, Florida where his show was rated as the number one across all major demos. Aside from this, he hosted “Bubbapalooza”, a live comedy and entertainment show along with his show’s co-hosts. In addition, he released Bubba Raw DVDs in 2008, which featured footages from his show. In 2010, he became the backstage interviewer for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling, debuting live on the show “TNA Impact!”. In his personal life, Bubba has apparently been married and divorced twice. His second was to Heather Dawn Cole(2007-11), with whom he has a son. In 2012, he was sued by wrestler Hulk Hogan for allegedly videotaping him and then-wife Heather having sex. A settlement was reached and Bubba issued a public apology to Hogan.
