Liam was born to the Irish couple, Peggy and Thomas Gallagher as the youngest of three siblings. Because of his father’s violently abusive attitude towards them, mother with her three sons moved out when Liam was 10 – his middle brother Noel is also a musician, known as the main songwriter and co-vocalist of Oasis. Liam attended St. Bernard’s RC Primary School, and later enrolled at The Barlow RC High School in Didsbury from which he was suspended for three months for fighting.
