Michael Wayne Atha was born on 30th December, 1979 in Gadsden, Alabama, USA of White American and Cherokee descent. This rapper is widely known under his stage name Yelawolf, and is also the founder of the record label titled Slumerican. Currently, he is working under the labels Interscope Records and Shady Records. Yelawolf has been active in the entertainment industry since 2003.

Following this success two collaborative albums “Psycho White” (2012) and “Shady XV” (2014) were released. Both became hits on the R&B and Rap charts as well as increasing the net worth of Yelawolf. These albums released after 2011 made him famous as well as significantly increased the net worth of the artist. Currently, the rapper is working on the studio album “Love Story”, and collaborative album “Country Cousins” which are going to be released soon. Hopefully, they will increase his net worth, too.
In one of the stages of Yelawolf’s life the now millionaire was homeless and lived in one of the parks in Berkeley, California. It was the moment when he was even ready to return to his mother’s home and had a ticket to Alabama. However, after travelling to Alabama, then Seattle, afterwards Washington he managed to get out of the poverty cycle.
Talking about his personal life, Yelawolf is in a long term relationship with his girlfriend, singer and songwriter Fefe Dobson. In 2013, the couple became engaged.
